Let’s talk Probiotics
Most of us have at least some knowledge of gut probiotics- the kind that is found in yogurt and grocery store probiotics supplements. But did you know that there are specific probiotics for your mouth? The beneficial bacterium that normally occurs in a healthy mouth is called Streptococcus Salivarius. For some people, this bacteria is out of balance- just like what can happen in your gut. By adding more of the good bacteria, we can shift the balance in our mouths dramatically.
Our office continuously follows the very latest developments in the field of dentistry. We do this to ensure that we can provide our patients with the highest levels of care in modern dentistry.
One fascinating new dental procedure on the horizon is the ability to regrow actual teeth using stem cells. While dental implant technology is widely available today as a method for replacing missing teeth, patients in the future may choose the regrowth of an actual tooth using the stem cells procedure.

We just started using a new sleep appliance called MicroO2 with great success. This appliance seems to be much more comfortable than the Somnomed appliance. We have stopped significant snoring and improved oxygenation almost immediately, even in very severe cases. The appliance also does not constrict the tongue space- a common problem with other sleep appliances. When we call our patients after a few days of wear they are amazed with the results. We use a neuromuscular bite as the starting point for the appliance. This allows a much more comfortable jaw position.
