Here at Adler Dentistry, the environment is important to us. We are continually thinking of ways to become more “eco friendly”. Such as our reusable shopping bags that we hand out with dental product purchases. Our newest advancement is bio degradable suction tips. These green tips are eco friendly unlike the typical plastic tips used by most dental offices. We have also recently started to offer our guests Eldorado water in glasses instead of plastic bottles.
Although we never place amalgam (mercury) fillings, we often remove them. We are very conscious of not releasing mercury from old amalgam fillings in our water supply. We have a highly sophisticated device called an amalgam separator that keeps any amalgam from entering our water supply. We also have chair side traps to catch the larger pieces prior to going through the amalgam separator. It’s often said that it’s the small things that can make a big difference.
