Excessive Snoring?... Does Someone in Your Household “Rattle the Rafters” with Seemingly Incurable Snoring? Or Perhaps You Suffer Sleep Apnea ?...Discover the Benefits that Adler Dentistry May Bring to Your Quality of Life.

Often snoring is dismissed as simply an annoyance but it can be a sign of a very serious condition known as obstructive sleep apnea known to cause or contribute to these conditions:

  • Irritability
  • High blood pressure
  • Heart attacks or irregular heart beats
  • Impotence
  • Morning headaches
  • Dry mouth
  • Acid reflux
  • Decreased concentration
  • Heartburn
  • Depression
  • Decreased libido
  • Sleepiness during the day
  • Stroke
  • Divorce!

Snoring is caused by a blocked airway. The tongue can fall backward during sleep and this can fully or partially block the airway. The body struggles to obtain air and this causes the vibration we call snoring.

Sleep apnea sufferers will often snore in between episodes of airway interruption.

Apnea episodes can occur from 30 to 60 times per night. People to feel exhausted when they wake up, they've spent the night fighting for air, they feel tired, headachy and irritable the next day.

If your teeth have been ground down over the years or lost due to accident or dental disease, your jaw is not able to settle into a naturally relaxed position.

This causes tension in the muscles in the jaw, and can lead to disturbing sleep patterns including loud excessive snoring, and sleep apnea.

Restoring your bite, the jaw can be returned to the position that nature intended, and a full nights sleep the new reality

Patients who have experienced “chronic excessive” snoring, sleep apnea symptoms, and have sought treatment from physicians, chiropractors and neurologists to finally find real relief through Neuromuscular Dentistry.

Neuromuscular Dentistry corrects the bite, and realigns the jaw.

If you have unresolved sleep disorders ask Dr. Adler.
