Adler Cosmetic and Family Dentistry continuously invest in the most modern dental technologies available. A key to stopping tooth decay is early detection made possible through laser scanning tools. Safe and effective laser scanning often finds hidden tooth decay years before it shows up on X-rays. Adler Cosmetic and Family Dentistry utilizes an ultra-modern cavity detection system called the Diagnodent that finds decay that X-rays can miss. This laser technology scans teeth for hidden decay without the radiation associated with X-rays, and with greater accuracy. Research studies have shown that traditional X-ray methods can miss up to 50% of tooth decay that’s present. Diagnodent directs laser light beneath the hard outer tooth enamel layer and is reflected back to a hand held wand-like instrument. The laser scanning process detects and measures decay that can hide beneath the tooth enamel. The Diagnodent system emits variable pitched sounds and provides a numerical readout (above 25 indicates decay) and alerts the dentist that decay is present and to what extent. Our experience with the system has been very positive, allowing us to spot and treat cavities years before they turn into bigger and more costly dental problems. About Broomfield, Colorado The municipality of Broomfield was incorporated in 1961 in the southeastern corner of Boulder County. It received its name from the broomcorn grown in the area. Over the next three decades, the city grew through annexations, many of which crossed the county line into four adjacent counties: Adams, Boulder, Jefferson, and Weld. In the 1990s, city leaders began to push for the creation of a separate county to avoid the inefficiencies of dealing with four separate court districts, four different county seats (each a considerable distance away), and four separate county sales tax bases. It also had longstanding political differences with Boulder County, which impelled it to separate. Broomfield reasoned that it could provide services more responsively under its own county government, and sought an amendment to the Colorado State Constitution to create a new county. The amendment passed in 1998, after which a three-year transition period followed. On November 15, 2001, Broomfield County became the 64th, newest, and smallest, county of Colorado. As of the census of 2000, there were 38,272 people, 13,842 households, and 10,270 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,411.6 people per square mile (545.1/km²). There were 14,322 housing units at an average density of 528.2/sq mi (204.0/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 88.62 percent White, 0.92 percent African American, 0.61 percent Native American, 4.14 percent Asian, 0.04 percent Pacific Islander, 3.21 percent from other races, and 2.45 percent from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 9.07 percent of the population. Broomfield Dentist | Broomfield Dentistry | Broomfield Dentists | Dentist in Broomfield | Dentists in Broomfield
