Boulder Dentist Receives ICCMO Fellowship
Dr. Michael J. Adler of Adler Cosmetic & Family Dentistry was honored to present two papers at the prestigious ICCMO (International College of Cranio-Mandibular Orthopedics) conference on November 14 – 15, 2009 in Fukuoka, Japan. While in Japan, he was given the high honor of the ICCMO Fellowship. The Fellowship required rigorous study and the ability to present cases that demonstrate excellence in the treatment of Cranio-mandibular disorders, such as TMD (temporal mandibular disorder).
Dr. Adler was well received at the ICCMO. He discussed the importance a millimeter can make in the treatment of neuromuscular dentistry and presented a case study of his father to highlight this point. He also presented his research on the connection between neuromuscular dentistry and cadmium induced lesions of the Gasserian ganglia and dorsal root of the trigeminal nerve. Passionate about his work and field of study, Dr. Adler is a natural speaker and if you are a regular patient then you know that he always has a joke or a great story to tell.
Continuing education is an important part of keeping up with the latest in dental and medical advancements and Dr. Adler enjoys sharing his own knowledge and expertise to help others in the field. Dr. Adler’s staff would like to extend their congratulations on this great accomplishment and are proud to work with a doctor that continues to perfect his craft and excel in his field.
